Gobble ‘till you Wobble (Board)

How is it possible that it’s almost Thanksgiving?! My, how the time is flying! I’ve been trying to teach Corban to say “Gobble Gobble” so that I could get a video of him Gobbling while he’s wobbling on his Plink Co. Wooden Wobble Balance Board. He says something that sounds like a mix between Gobble and Wobble but the struggle to get it on video for you is real!

What I do have for you, in light of Thanksgiving coming up, is a fun printable for the kids!

Corban's not quite 2 but he’s totally going to be scribbling all over one of these! He loves coloring! He has a wooden table that we let him color at but instead of coloring at his table he’s started coloring on his table! We tried for a while to get him to only color on his coloring book but his table has started looking like a piece of art so we gave up.

When Erica gave us our Plink Co. Wooden Wobble Balance Board I told her we’d try to keep the crayons away from it so it stays nice for pictures on the blog. She laughed and said if he colors on it I can just write about how to get it off. Well, just a couple of weeks later, I’m here to report that if your little one colors on their Plink Co. Wooden Wobble Balance Board, a Mr. Clean magic eraser does the trick.

I feel like you guys need to know how fantastic these Plink Co. Wooden Wobble Balance Boards are! When Erica first told me she was starting a business selling these I was a little confused by the board to be honest, but now that Corban has one we love this thing!  It is amazing to watch his imagination take off as he plays with it. He stacks blocks on it, he walks across it, he balances on it, he uses it as a slide, he wobbles on it and cracks himself up because he thinks it’s hilarious, he plays with his cars on it, he sits on it, he lays on it, he colors on it... oh ya that ones a “no, no” at our house.  Seriously though, these boards are amazing and engage little minds so well. I even like playing with it. It is a great toy for all ages!

Just look at this kid having fun with his board!

The Code of the Plink Co. Elves

Merry Christmas! Actually, Happy Thanksgiving, but I think most of us hit full Christmas mode by 4:00 pm on Thanksgiving Day! I wake up from my post-turkey nap and get out the adds for my Black Friday shopping.  My Black Friday shopping looks so different this year! It’s been happening all week online and I’m betting most of you are in the same boat! I keep thinking I’m done shopping for the kids but then Erica sends me pictures of new toys coming to the store and I want them all... for the kids of course.  Our Christmas decor is up and soon we will be watching one of our favorite Christmas movies, Elf!  With the holidays in mind, I could not resist basing this post off of the code of the Code of the Elves. If you don’t know what I’m referring to, please go watch the movie! So here it is... The Code of the Plink Co. Elves: 1.) Treat Every Day Like Christmas (Especially Black Friday and Christmas Day of course)      There have been sales all week but there are some great deals and new r

Learning from Virtually Anything

I’ve been thinking lately while watching my son as he grows and learns, that there is an opportunity for learning in everything. Even in these pictures, We counted to 5 to get him to sit still long enough for a picture for the blog. I’ve been trying to use these little moments to teach him, whether it be a life lesson, or learning things like numbers, colors, and words.  He is so excited about learning his colors right now! We’ve just been using anything and everything to help him learn them but I cannot wait to give him his Plink Co. Color sorting peg dolls for Christmas! He also loves practicing those fine motor skills. My sister has a pair of air pods and one of his favorite things is taking them out of the case and putting them back in. I think these peg dolls will bring hours of entertainment to our house! It’s always a win when learning is fun! This year has been a rollercoaster to say the least!  All of you teachers and homeschooling parents rock!  There have been so many learni
